 The core committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has taken an important decision in the wider interest of students studying higher education in government and private university-colleges in the state 

  The Chief Minister has decided, with a view to protecting the young students of the state in the current epidemic of global epidemic corona, to provide merit-based intermediate semester students for all courses except undergraduate medical-paramedical in government and private university-colleges in the state.

 Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama while giving details of the decision of the core committee chaired by the Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to give this merit based progress only this year considering the impact of the transition of Kovid-19 cores on education work in schools and colleges this year.  ..



  He said that the decision of Merit Based Progress made by the State Government will benefit students of Intermediate Semester 2, 3 and where Semester 4 is also Intermediate for all courses except Medical-Paramedical of Government and Private Universities and Colleges 



 .  He added that the total number of such students is estimated to be 3.50 lakh.

 Giving a detailed understanding of the method of merit based progress given to the students of Intermediate Semester, the Education Minister said that for this purpose, 50% marks will be given on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50% marks will be given on the basis of previous pre-semester.
