A resolution has been made regarding the organization of Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) with a two-tier format for the purpose of quality education as per the goals of National Education Policy 2020 and Mission Schools of Excellence. According to this resolution of the Education Department, the National Education Policy (N.E.P) - 2000 recommends teaching students 21st century skills like communication, critical and creative thinking, problem solving etc. Apart from this, it has also been recommended to teach students vocational skills. For this, it is essential that the teachers teaching the students are also equipped with such skills. For the all-round development of the students, in the future, such teachers will be needed who, in addition to literate subjects, also have some interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary skills. (Inter-Disciplinary and Multi- Disciplinary Stall Set) i.e., science graduates have knowledge of literature. Commerce graduates have knowledge of science and Vinayaan graduates have knowledge of commerce. Such teachers will be able to teach skills like computer, vocational education, painting, music, art, sports etc. which are necessary for the all-round development of the student along with their expertise in their literary subject. In the changing educational world, it has become imperative for teachers to continuously learn new things in the coming times. Along with this, in the changing educational perspective, in order to meet the changes in the subjects and content to be taught in schools in the coming times, it is necessary to develop a specific method of identifying teachers with the above skills in the interest of students and education.
In the changing educational perspective, it is also necessary for teachers to be talented and have mastery over languages according to the trilingual formula. The process of identifying teachers with such special skills is also more intensive. It is necessary to have. Reason A specific examination system is necessary to identify candidates with the knowledge, inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary skills as mentioned above.
As per the National Education Policy - 2020 and the goals of Mission Schools of Excellence, it has been decided to organize a two-tier format Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) to test the ability of the candidates to achieve the objectives of quality education
By the said resolution of the Education Department, the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar has been authorized to conduct the "Teacher Aptitude Test (Higher Secondary)" examination for the candidates having the prescribed qualifications to be nominated as teachers in government and private higher secondary schools registered in the state of Gujarat.
Prescribed qualifications to be nominated as teachers in government and private higher secondary schools registered in the state of Gujarat Notification is hereby issued to conduct the Teacher Aptitude Test (Higher Secondary) - 2025 for the candidates having "Teacher Aptitude Test (Higher Secondary) - 2026" by the State Examination Board, Gujarat State, Gandhinagar. The said test/examination will be organized through the District Education Officers at the centers decided under the management of the State Examination Board.
