Central Admission Committee for the first year of the Diploma in Primary Education (D.EI.Ed) (PTC) for the year 2026-27

Admission Announcement

Candidates wishing to get admission in the two-year Diploma in Primary Education (D.EL.ED) course running in Gujarati/Hindi/Urdu/Marathi and English medium in Government/Non-Government Granted and Self-reliant Teaching Temples/District Education and Training Buildings recognized by NCTE in the state are requested to apply online on the online website ptc.dpegujarat.in or dpegujarat.in from 10:00 AM on 24/06/2026 to 23:59 PM on 05/07/2026 (Sunday holiday).  The hard copy of the online admission form will have to be verified along with supporting documents and submitted at the admission center after filling the required fee and getting it collected. The list of the designated admission centers is posted on the district-wise website ptc.dpegujarat.in or dpegujarat.in. The applicant will have to verify the form with the evidence at the nearest or preferred admission center and submit the form.

15% of the seats of the management quota of autonomous institutions will be filled as per the provisions of the resolution of the Education Department dated 05/07/2012 and instructions regarding the same will be posted on the website as and when required.

 (1) Qualification required for admission:- Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Standard-12) in Science stream, General stream, Vocational stream and Post-Basic stream or students who have passed Diploma or ITI will be eligible for admission but they must have obtained a certificate of equivalence from GSHSEB and students who have done ITI must have passed the English subject examination from GSHSEB.

2) Minimum marks for admission:- Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks out of the total marks in the examination of the prescribed streams in Standard-12 but candidates belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections should have secured at least 45% marks.

Medium of Admission:- The candidate can apply for admission in any medium from which he/she has obtained his/her education in Standard-10 or Standard-12.

(4) Age Limit:- All the candidates who are not more than 30 years of age as on 01/07/2026 will be considered eligible for admission. There will be a relaxation of 5 years in age for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (Bakshi Panch) and Economically Weaker Section.

(5) Reserved Seats:- 7% for Scheduled Caste, 15% for Scheduled Tribe, 5% seats for disabled candidates in each category, 27% seats for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and 10% seats for Economically Weaker Section candidates.

 (6) For NCTE recognized institutions: For the year 2026-27, the institutions whose names have been published in the list of recognized institutions on the NCTE website to run the (D.EL.ED) course of study, have to fill in the information in the prescribed form placed in the PTC department at dpe.gujarat.gov.in and send the proposal to the office email ptc.guj@gujarat.gov.in by 30/06/2026 if they want to participate in the admission process.

And the necessary information will be posted on the website as and when it is completed, so all concerned are requested to keep visiting the website until the D.EL.ED admission process is completed.
